As we look to start our 2nd year on 3/4/2017

As we finish out our first year in business, we're actively planning events for: Black History Month, Women's' History Month, and our first anniversary.  Seems like a good time to look back and journal all we've accomplished in addition to looking forward for things to come.

2016 Milestones:

1. Prince Memorial event
2. Hosted Women In Law event
3. Found recurring corporate space rental clients
4. Hosted Womens' Giving Circle event in conjunction with neighbor COD/Murphy & Dittenhafer Architects' grand opening.
5. Hosted our first Wiener Dog Parade
6. Participated in the first ever nationwide event "Art House Cinema Day" on 9/24/16
7. Learned we can show movies uninterrupted during Bike Week, and Halloween Parade - but should we?
8. Participated in global world premier of new Beatles film  "Eight Days A Week" on 9/15 1nd 9/16 and went on to have six Sold Out shows.
9. Hosted Rotary Club of York networking event
10. Won Creative York's "BIG IDEA" Award for 2016
11. Hosted our first fully subscribed Film Appreciation class
12. Hosted a Sold Out screen talk by A24 owner John Hodges and his YCDS classmate and fellow arts professional Cal Weary Jr.
13. Managed to close for a week and take a vacation of 9 months of zero days off.
14. Started back up with more Sold Out shows.
15. Launched our Winter Film Appreciation Class and sold out the entire class + stand by list.

2017 Milestone

1. Successfully passed our fire inspection.
2. Added (4) more seats thus increasing our capacity to 26.
3. Secured (8) Boeing 747 first class airline seats in preparation for future upgrades.
